Gable House, Cheltenham: New build Sky-Frame

Situated on a uniquely wide plot in a leafy area of Cheltenham, Gable House was designed as a dream family home. The site, previously occupied by an early 20th-century house that was demolished as part of the project, offered the opportunity to orient the generous five-bedroom house across the plot. This thoughtful layout allows the entire rear of the house to seamlessly open up to the garden, made possible by the impressive 12m wide Sky-Frame automated sliding doors.
At the heart of Gable House lies the central hub – an inviting open-plan space comprising a kitchen, family dining area, and cosy sitting room. The use of frameless Sky-Frame doors in this area creates a harmonious connection between indoor and outdoor living, flooding the space with natural light and enhancing the sense of openness.
Timber is a defining element of the material palette, creating a visual link between the main house and the secondary structures, including the pool house and garage. The ground floor is anchored with natural stone, forming a robust plinth for the first floor. Stone continues throughout the landscaping, further integrating the house with its surroundings and effortlessly blending interior and exterior spaces.
