Cotswold Windows have taken on the manufacture of Schuco façade system FWS60 CV
and whilst the name certainly isn’t very snappy the system most certainly is! The CV stands for concealed vent and this is the key to this innovative system.
The system lends itself in particular to creating facades with narrow slimline face widths. Schuco have designed a system that merges and combines the vent with the load bearing structure. This results in a system offering maximum transparency and provides fixed lights and opening vents that are identical in appearance.
Cotswold believe that the FWS 60CV offers architect and designers a unique opportunity to create seamless facades with slim face widths – it is only on the inside that a slimline shadow gap and window handle betray the opening vents. The very low face width of the system ensures a crucial advantage in term of energy efficiency. The reduction in profile parts has an extraordinarily positive effect on the U-Value with overall Ucw Values as low as 0.84W/(M2K) The system is also extremely capable with the ability to utilise opening vents at 1200mm x 2500mm. The façade also has the ability to integrate a balustrade glass panel into the outer frame so no need for an additional balustrade system to complicate the design or the build cost of your project.
